Chocolate Cravings has gone out of business.

It is extremely hard trying to change people's perceptions of chocolate.  The difference between fresh chocolates and those on the shelf for months on end is the difference between cheap instant coffee and fresh espresso made with good quality freshly ground beans.

I highly recommend Chocolate Confetti for your chocolate needs - I don't know the lady's name but have tried her chocolates at the East Midlands Food Festival at Brooksby Hall.  They took my breath away; I promptly went back for more!  At the time of writing their website was under construction, but take a look at the pdf menu, it should whet your appetite!

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!

They work extremely hard to provide you with a service and a product which will be lost if people continue to take the easy option and spend in supermarkets instead. 

If you have a local shop, use it!

If they don't stock what you want, tell them!

Go to farmers' markets - check out the wonderful products on offer - try new things!

Challenge yourself - Try for one week only buying from independent providers.

People complain that the high street is disappearing - well that's down to us - you and me.  If we support the high street retailers - let them know what we want - then they will prosper. These are people just wanting to earn a living to provide for their families, not to provide for their shareholders!

The meat from the butcher, the bread from the baker, you know the artisans, craftsmen (& women), the people passionate about their product, wanting to show you how great it can be.  The people with the knowledge to get the best out of your meat, the best seasonal fruit and vegetables. 

Go for ethically produced goods protecting both animals, people and environment.

The slogans, taste the difference and every little helps - apply these to your local producers and see the difference it makes to them and you!
